KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 7 (Bernama) -- Twenty-two Japanese startups unveiled cutting-edge technology for solving societal challenges and making life easier at CES 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada, recently.

It was the first time the Japanese government showcased its innovative startups and their ground-breaking solutions to a global technology audience of more than 188,000 people.

In a statement today, it said four of the startups won coveted CES Innovation Awards.

WHILL Inc won for WHILL Autonomous Drive, a fully-autonomous driving technology, combined with Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) and a personal electric vehicle (EV), for people with mobility impairments.

mui Lab Inc won for mui, a piece of wall art made of sleek wood and other natural materials which is an IoT device that displays temperature, voicemail messages and text from a home’s Google assistant.
