KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 (Bernama) -- More than 30,000 marathoners and sports fans gathered in Changchun, capital of Jilin Province, to participate in an international marathon race on May 27.

The combination of the event and tourism industry has injected vitality into the city's ambition to become a major sports tourism destination in China, according to the Changchun Sports Bureau.

Located in northeast China, Changchun boasts rich ice and snow resources and pleasant climate. It is also one of two Chinese cities which are home to gold medallists of both Summer and Winter Olympics.

The city's sports administration has explored various ways to encourage its citizens to participate in sports, which have yielded good results.

Changchun has the country's oldest bases for automobile industry and film production, and is the cradle of industries such as railway vehicles and photoelectric technology, among others.

Thanks to its geographic advantage as the centre of Northeast Asia, the city government is aiming to make tourism its pillar industry for development, having elevated sports as a top priority, which has in turn, been recognised by the World Health Organisation.

While the government has reserved large tracts of land for sports facilities, citizens can book sports venues and find gym mates online.

Changchun has hosted the international cross-country ski festival, Vasaloppet China, for 17 consecutive years.

INVOLVE ASIA "SCORES" WITH QUALITY PARTNERSHIP RATING SYSTEM

Latest rating feature allows advertisers to seek and match publishers more effectively

KUALA LUMPUR, May 17 (Bernama) -- Popular affiliate marketing solution provider, Involve Asia Technologies Sdn Bhd (“Involve Asia”) has recently introduced Partner Quality Score (“PQS”) on its Involve network platform.  The latest feature was developed as another value-added service for its advertisers to identify and establish partnerships with potential affiliates in a more efficient manner.

PQS provides an overview of a marketing partner's score based on ongoing records of their overall performance by niche, category, and quality of work. It capitalises a profile of 20,000 affiliate marketing partners and curates them based on their focus areas, historical campaign performances and quality of conversions. Through this, advertisers can dive deep into the potential partners’ platforms, understand and develop ways to working with them to yield the desired results.

The new feature allows advertisers to search, refine, and accurately pick their marketing partners that suit and meet their campaign goals and needs.  With this, advertisers can predict the success rate of conversions based on the publishers’ historical performances.

“The development of a scoring system for marketing partners in our ecosystem is an important step for Involve Asia as it benefits both our advertisers and marketing partners. With PQS, advertisers are now able to discover high-performing partners to match and garner better results for their marketing campaigns. At the same time, it also highlights and recognises the marketing partners for continuously driving value for the Advertisers. The launch of this new feature is in line with our company’s goals to enhancing value and empowering partners as we strive to deliver outstanding service,” shared Involve Asia's CEO, Jimmy How.

In addition to the benefits for advertisers, top marketing partners on Involve with high Publisher Scores will be able to gain exclusive access to new campaigns, product launches and receive quicker payments from advertisers.

"The Publisher Score puts performance marketing in the spotlight because of its ability to aggregate performance analytics on various metrics. This will have both short and long-term benefits for advertisers in discovering new partnerships opportunities besides optimising their return on ad-spend across the board. We look forward to advertisers leveraging on the features for their campaigns," added Involve Asia's CMO Gerald Young.

The rollout for Publisher Score will be in batches and Involve clients will be informed of the feature availability on their dashboards accordingly.

Lantern Media sparks brands marketing objectives via AI advertising network

KUALA LUMPUR, May 13 (Bernama) -- Lantern Media, an out-of-home (OOH) media company is set to take mall advertising to new heights with its digital LED advertising network which operates on artificial intelligence (AI) to help brands achieve their marketing objectives.

“With in-mall advertising becoming more and more popular, Lantern Media would like to capitalise on this growing trend by offering data accountability - clear reporting and analytics,” said Lantern Media co-founder, Paul Leo Versley.

“This is to ensure that all impact is measurable, so that brands would have a better insight into their marketing outcomes. Although OOH advertising is currently being widely used, it is difficult to measure the impact. Our screens address this gap.”

By gathering geographical and socio-economic data, these screens enable malls to track daily footfall and user engagement, thus providing brands with data accountability, according to a statement.

Lantern Media’s LED screens utilise the latest in AI technology, enabling advertisers to track user engagement with their content.

Through each screen’s facial recognition feature, brands are able to accurately measure the number of authentic views their advertisements receive daily whereby, the screens also identify each viewer’s age and gender to determine if they fit the brand’s target audience.

Currently, Lantern Media has more than 100 fully operational screens in malls across the Klang Valley.

The company has worked with both local brands to track and document data derived from user views to achieve more quantifiable results and effective engagement.

Lantern Media is a grant receiver from Cradle Fund under the CIP300 programme. It plans to add 100 more screens in the near future, further expanding its reach in the country.
