KUALA LUMPUR, May 24 (Bernama) -- AKWEL, an equipment and systems manufacturer for the automotive and heavy goods industries has received a ‘Silver Award’ from Jaguar Land Rover at its annual Supplier Excellence Awards ceremony in Coventry (UK).
“Our annual Supplier Excellence Awards are an opportunity for us to celebrate the suppliers and the people who have collectively worked hard and diligently these past 12 months,” said Jaguar Land Rover director (Global Purchasing), Ian Harnett.
Out of 3,500 suppliers worldwide, only 15 were recognised for their extraordinary contribution to Jaguar Land Rover’s business, cost transformation and operational delivery over the course of the last year.
According to a statement, AKWEL was also recognised as GM Supplier of the Year by General Motors during its 27th annual Supplier of the Year awards ceremony in Detroit, USA.
AKWEL is proud and honoured to be recognised by its customers and looks forward to continuing its partnership with GM and JLR to help them manufacture more reliable, more environmentally-friendly autonomous and connected vehicles.
