As Tokyo Olympics draws near, Chiba prefecture uses Facebook to highlight local allures

KUALA LUMPUR, March 25 (Bernama) -- Using the ‘Chiba-no Miryoku Hasshintai’ Facebook page, Chiba Prefecture is sharing the prefecture's allures to the rest of Japan and the world as the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games draw near.

So far, people who love Chiba have posted approximately 600 messages on the page, introducing the charms of the prefecture, including Chiba's unique food and impressive scenery as well as local resident hospitality.

From those numerous posts, the winners will be selected based on the number of likes and shares they obtained, as well as screening by experts including a well-known blogger.

The Chiba-no Miryoku Hasshintai forum was held at the Chiba Prefectural Museum of Art, and the winners and their messages were introduced for their impressive and favourable reactions.

The experts delivered speeches on the attractions of Chiba and how to introduce such charms to the public using social networking service.

The prefectural government hopes people can feel the attractions of Chiba Prefecture. The prefecture hosts Narita International Airport, the gateway to Japan, through the Facebook page.
