BAKE WITH YEN: BIGGER, BETTER AND MORE 'MEGAH'

KUALA LUMPUR, April 20 (Bernama) --
Malaysia’s largest baking supplies retailer, Bake With Yen (BWY), is now bigger, better and more ‘Megah’ with the opening of a new 4,029 sq ft superstore in this mature neighbourhood in Taman Megah, Selangor.

Speaking at the opening of the store, incoming BWY Group Chief Executive Officer, Alexandre Rosso, said “We opened our very first store in Selangor right here in Taman Megah in 2002, which helped nurture generations of bakers in this community.  We are now reinvesting in the community by bringing a more ‘Megah’ experience – a bigger, better store, with a wider variety of the baking essentials we are known for. It is our way of thanking the community for their unwavering support over the years, and supporting the much larger community of bakers the store now serves.”

BWY Taman Megah is strategically located in the heart of Taman Megah, a stone’s throw away from the original store.  The store features over 3000 product items spread across one floor, making it more accessible and convenient compared to the previous store, which was spread over two floors.  Products include chilled products like butter, milk and cheese; groceries like flour, chocolate, dried fruit & nuts; cake and cookie premixes, through to baking utensils.  There are popular brands such as Lurpak, Anchor, Oreo and Nutella, amongst many others, as well as BWY’s own extensive range of in-house products.

The store also caters to newbie and would-be bakers, featuring BWY’s extensive range of premixes, like the Nasi Lemak Crunchy Cookies, a new variant introduced this Ramadhan, through to the very popular sourdough scones, an all-time best-seller. Value-seekers will be pleased to learn that the store offers some of the best prices in the market on popular items such as Ausicows butter at just RM7.90 per 250g pack, the lowest in the market.

Regular customers were invited to the opening to enjoy a stroll around the spacious store, to meet with BWY’s team of chefs, who demonstrated some of the popular premixes on sale, as well as to enjoy special opening day gifts. Visiting the store for the first time was a resident shopper, who said, “Bake With Yen has been and is our go-to baking supplies shop for the past 15 years, ever since our second daughter introduced us to it. We get almost all our baking needs and at reasonable prices too. With the opening of the Taman Megah Superstore, we now have very easy access to a huge range of baking ingredients and supplies especially with the Raya baking season dawning on us.”
