International Arbitration Demands Addresed In Appeal Court Judge's New Book

KUALA LUMPUR, June 17 (Bernama) -- Appeal Court judge Datuk Dr Hamid Sultan Abu Backer has published his latest book on the Malaysian Arbitration Act 2005.

Chief justice Tun Arifin Zakaria and Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration (KLRCA) director Datuk Sundra Rajoo launched the book, titled, "International Arbitration with a Commentary on the Malaysian Arbitration Act 2005".

The book was authored to address the challenges faced when securing an international arbitration award and reveals intricacies within The United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Model law and its importance towards ensuring awards rendered by the tribunal in achieving recognition and enforcement under the New York convention.....
