SERDANG, May 12 (Bernama) -- Putra Business School (PBS) was grateful to receive a large contribution in the form of staple foods from the Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) in a Coronavirus (COVID-19) donation transfer session held at the campus on 7th May 2020. LZS Board of Trustee member, Dato’ Paduka Emeritus Professor Dr. Muhamad Awang, was received by PBS President & Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Dr. Zulkornain Yusop.
A total of 246 sets of food packages were donated to PBS to be distributed among students, including 79 international students. The effort was part of the Dapur Ramadan Asnaf Selangor (DRAS) by the LZS to ease hardships and stress for students affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and especially Muslim students observing the holy month of Ramadan.
“We are very thankful to receive this kindness to help our students,” said Prof. Dr. Zulkornain Yusop. “PBS has been active in identifying and providing assistance to its students during the enforcement of the Movement Control Order (MCO) from March 18, 2020.”
The commitment to ensure the sustainability of resources for its students in turbulent times is in tandem with PBS’ founding philosophy ̶ human governance.
