MALINDO AIR CONFERRED WITH ASEAN-INDIA ACHIEVEMENT & EXCELLENCE AWARD
ANOTHER FEATHER IN THE CAP
PETALING JAYA, Oct 22 (Bernama) -- Malindo Air recently bagged the ASEAN-India Achievement & Excellence award at the distinctive 4th ASEAN-India Business Summit and Business Excellence Awards 2019, a glitzy event in Manila, held for the first time outside of Malaysia, in recognition of several individuals and corporations who have made great contributions to economic relations between ASEAN and India. The award was presented by H.E. Shri Ram Nath Kovind, President of India.
Malindo Air CEO, Capt. Mushafiz Mustafa Bakri said, “It is a great honor to be conferred the ASEAN-India Achievement & Excellence award for year 2019. This award was given in recognition of the contribution made by Malindo Air in strengthening bilateral economic relations between Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) and India. For us, the award clearly reflects a vote of confidence and endorsement of our vast connectivity from Kuala Lumpur to major cities in India namely, Amritsar, New Delhi, Kochi, Mumbai, Tiruchirappalli, Trivandrum, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Varanasi.”
"We believe air connectivity, in part, is crucial to unlocking a country’s economic growth potential because it enables the country to attract business investment, human capital and also spurs the tourism industry. This award will serve as an added motivation for Malindo Air to remain committed and improve further, while it will also mark our ability to transport passengers from their origin to their destination seamlessly. Malindo Air will continually embrace new challenges and increase our penetration into emerging markets and make air travel more accessible,” added Mushafiz.
The award recipients were selected by the organizing committee of the ASEAN-India Achievement and Excellence award in consultation with the Indian High Commissions and Embassies in the region.
