KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 30 (Bernama) -- Malaysia Global Business Forum (MGBF) has moved to support the creative economy as the overall economy moves into a recovery phase following the COVID-19 pandemic. As a step in the direction of normalcy, the MGBF has agreed to host the art exhibition “I Know You’re Somewhere So Far” by one of Malaysia’s leading young artists Mulaika Nordin.
The full spectrum of the creative industries, from film to visual arts were heavily impacted over the past two years. Prior to the pandemic the creative industries were estimated to be worth some RM29.4 billion contributing 1.9% to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2019 according to a report by the Department of Statistics Malaysia.
