The Malaysian Timber Council’s international wood and woodworking trade show, the Malaysian Wood Expo (MWE) 2023, is back after its successful inaugural fair in 2019.
KUALA LUMPUR, May 9 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Timber Council (MTC) is pleased to announce the highly anticipated return of its all-successful international wood and woodworking trade show, the Malaysian Wood Expo (MWE) 2023.
Jointly organised by MTC and the Pablo Publishing and Exhibition Pte Ltd, MWE 2023 will be held from 18 – 20 June 2023 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
“The timely presence of the Expo bodes well for the timber industry which recorded an export value of RM25.21 billion in 2022, one of the highest in recent years. Aiming to further uplift the industry, MWE is set to provide new solutions and greater opportunities to source for the latest in and for the timber-based industry,” said MTC Chairman Tuan Haji Zainal Abidin Haji Abdullah.
The Expo will showcase raw materials and wood products such as wooden flooring, mouldings, doors, door frames and windows, panel products, wooden pallets as well as woodworking machinery such as cutting tools, combined machines, dust collection equipment, edge-banding materials and machines, handling equipment, abrasives, adhesives, coatings, timber-related equipment, and furniture production software, among others.
