APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR THE INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP COMPETITION (ITEC) 2023 - SOUTH EAST ASIA EDITION

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 20 (Bernama) -- The International Technology and Entrepreneurship Competition (ITEC) 2023 – South East Asia Edition; in collaboration with My Lives Global Holding Sdn Bhd as its regional Organising Partner, is thrilled to announce that applications are now open. Sponsored by the Chaoyang District People's Government of Beijing Municipality and organized by the Chaoyang District High-level Talents Service Center, this prestigious event, in its 11^th year, aspires to discover, foster, and launch innovative projects into the global arena.
 
"ITEC 2023 is a distinguished platform for entrepreneurial success. This year's spotlight, 'Gathering International Talents and Building an Innovative Future,” resonates strongly with our community of over 40,000 past participants from across 39 countries," said Ian Thai, Organizing Chairman of ITEC 2023, South East Asia edition.
 
Applications are now open with the closing date of 25^th September 2023. Regional qualifying rounds will be conducted in October 2023 with the top 3 winners being invited to China in November 2023. Participants will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a diverse panel of judges, including senior investment experts and industrial technical experts. The Grand Finale will serve as a melting pot of innovation, uniting winners from South East Asia, North and South America, the European Union, and China.

Who Can Apply?
The competition is open to anyone with a groundbreaking business idea project or startup company in four main tracks:
1. Infrastructure Track: Including AI, blockchain, big data, and more.
2. Interactive Terminals Track: Such as XR terminals, new display technologies.
3. Platform Tools Track: Focusing on digital content production technologies.
4. Application Scenarios Track: Applications of Web 3.0 in various industries.
 
Companies or projects from ideation stage or already operating that are less than 10 years old can apply to join the competition.
 
Prizes and Benefits:
The stakes are high for participants, with the top 30 winners collectively receiving cash prizes amounting to a staggering RMB 25 million (approximately USD 3.5 million). Beyond the monetary rewards, the winners will also be presented with an invaluable opportunity to set up operations in China, thanks to the support of the Chaoyang District People's Government of Beijing Municipality.
 
As a highlight, all finalists will benefit from unparalleled exposure to our network of over 110 partner investment institutions, boasting an Assets Under Management (AUM) of RMB 1 trillion (approximately USD 137 billion USD).

In the interest of ensuring an equitable and exhaustive appraisal of all submitted projects, the competition employs a multifaceted evaluation methodology. This comprehensive assessment matrix encompasses a variety of critical dimensions such as market viability, team qualifications, technological innovation, and business model robustness, among other essential criteria. Each participating venture will undergo stringent evaluation by a distinguished panel of professionals from the realms of venture capital, industry-specific technical expertise, and other pertinent disciplines.
