KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 1 (Bernama) -- Foreign dignitaries have lauded the continued success of the China International Import Expo (CIIE), where the fifth edition will be held in Shanghai, China from Nov 5 to 10, 2022.
In a statement today, CIIE said the former French Prime Minister, Jean-Pierre Raffarin, and former UNESCO director of heritage centre and assistant director-general for culture Francesco Bandarin extended their wishes via video, extolling China for promoting the prosperity of the world economy through high-level opening up.
“At present, the CIIE has played an important role in international trade exchanges. Enterprises can come up with many win-win projects at the CIIE which has demonstrated its international influence that cannot be ignored,” said Raffarin.
He has called upon French companies to participate in the CIIE so that the two peoples can benefit each other.
Similarly, Bandarin said that he has visited China many times and considers the CIIE as an international grand event for global procurement, investment promotion, cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and open cooperation.
“Through this expo, the world will see China and its splendid culture. In turn, the people in China will see, touch and experience the products and diverse cultures from all over the world,” added Bandarin.
