KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 10 (Bernama) -- Pine Labs, a leading merchant commerce omnichannel platform, has entered into a collaboration with KPJ Healthcare Bhd to offer flexible payment options for the private healthcare provider’s patients.
In a statement today, Pine Labs said this also marked the first of its kind service to be offered at hospitals across Malaysia.
It said through the collaboration, payments for KPJ Healthcare’s medical services could be made at Pine Labs’ point-of-sale terminals located at the hospital’s payment counters via debit or credit card.
“Our partnership with a renowned healthcare institution like KPJ Healthcare enables us to deliver seamless, speedier and secure digital payment transactions to patients and their loved ones.
“We believe healthcare as a segment is ripe for disruption when it comes to instalment payment purchase options as affordable healthcare is everyone’s right and providing it to all is what we strive for at Pine Labs,” head of merchants business, Asia-Pacific (APAC), Sharad Gulhar said.
The Pine Labs platform provides a unique option of converting the payment into a zero-interest instalment plan, which is available for charges above RM500 for a period of up to 24 months, through its extensive network of 14 banking partners.
As part of the first phase of the implementation, more than 30 Pine Labs terminal has been deployed in KPJ Healthcare’s hospitals in the central and southern regions while subsequent roll-out in the remaining KPJ Healthcare hospitals will be carried out in phases.
The deployment is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2023.
