TOKYO, March 14 (Bernama-BUSINESS WIRE) -- Keio Plaza Hotel (KPH), one of Japan’s most prestigious international hotels located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, will host a special exhibition entitled “Experience Mt. Fuji and Cherry Blossom Fair” displaying various lacquerware, photographs, and Japanese paper picture art in April, 2016. In addition, 11 of hotel’s restaurants will provide guests with specially prepared foods that reflect the theme of the arrival of spring through images of Mt. Fuji and cherry blossoms. As part of this celebration, a special accommodation plan including overnight stays and a special SAKURA dinner course combining traditional Japanese foods of sushi, tempura and shabu-shabu will be served to overseas visitors.
30 lacquerware art items patterned after Mt. Fuji and cherry blossoms combining inlaid gold and lacquer techniques, and made by Wajima style lacquerware artists Katsuhiko Urade and Yuji Tomoda, and 20 photographs of Mt. Fuji and cherry blossoms from the Kawaguchiko Museum of Art collection will be displayed. Also, 10 finely crafted and delicate Japanese paper picture art items portraying the theme of Mt. Fuji and cherry blossoms will also be displayed. The exhibition is a complimentary event held in the lobby that is open to all visitors.
