Haikou builds first marine industry agglomeration area

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 3 (Bernama) -- Haikou's first marine industry agglomeration area, the Shichuanglian Innovation Factory (hereinafter referred to as the Factory), was recently settled in the International Science and Technology Innovation Center of Haikou National Hi-tech Zone.

The Haikou Natural Resources and Planning Bureau officially awarded the licence, according to a statement.

The Factory attracts a total investment of RMB300 million and has a usable area of 50,000 square metres. (RMB100 = RM58.83)

Currently, it has four major industrial sections, namely, marine economic industrial agglomeration area, cultural and creative base, offshore innovation base and hi-tech zone comprehensive office area.

The Factory is committed to promoting the innovation development of marine economy and fostering new momentum of development. It has signed contracts with 19 enterprises to optimise the business environment and create ideal office space for marine industry enterprises.

It also has a series of supporting service facilities including international talent service centre, industrial cooperation display centre, shared conference centre, and Haifang Zhiguan International Talent Apartment.
