TRAVEL THROUGH TIME INTO THE FUTURE WITH BERSAMA MERENTAS ZAMAN EXHIBITION AT GALERI PETRONAS

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 12 (Bernama) -- In conjunction with PETRONAS’ 45th anniversary on 17 August, and the celebration of Independence Day and Malaysia Day, GALERI PETRONAS proudly presents Bersama Merentas Zaman exhibition.

Complementing PETRONAS’ 2019 corporate campaign, the exhibition is part of an integrated element in the 45-day long celebration to commemorate the national oil and gas company’s milestones.

Bersama Merentas Zaman fuses together the corporate narratives through Tree of Tales, a digital labyrinth-like installation that displays PETRONAS’ corporate social responsibility (CSR) achievements in providing access to education, uplifting community well-being and development, as well as preserving the environment, since its inception in 1974.

A nine-chapter video show at the exhibition will take visitors on a time-traveling journey dedicating PETRONAS’ gratitude towards Malaysians, who have been supporting the organisation though the past 45 years, and the Company’s commitment to continue being a part of the nation’s pursuit for excellence.

To capture the spirit of past achievements and in looking towards the future, a selection of artworks by renowned Malaysian artists, Bayu Utomo Radjikin, Zulkifli Yusoff and Multhalib Musa, are curated to represent PETRONAS’ growth alongside the nation.

Three distinctive expressions of fine arts are being featured - painting, sculpture and installation - espouse three disciplines of the humanities and social sciences, mathematics and literature; correlating with GALERI PETRONAS’ thrusts in promoting the intersections of art to elevate Malaysian contemporary art practices and production.

Hence, the exhibition represents a symbiotic relationship between Art and Economy, a synergy that propels the growth of a progressive nation.

Bersama Merentas Zaman is currently open for public viewing at GALERI PETRONAS on Level 3, Suria KLCC until October 6, 2019. Admission is free.
