2021 TAIWAN INNOTECH EXPO MARKS MAIDEN VIRTUAL, PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT INTEGRATION

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26 (Bernama) -- The 2021 Taiwan Innotech Expo held its grand opening recently, marking the first year that the Expo integrated both virtual and physical environments to hold three themed expositions online and offline.

Among them was the ‘Innovation Pilot’ Pavilion, which focused on innovative technologies implementable in industries within the next five years, according to a statement.

Apart from technology displays, the exposition also branched out to international fora, technology presentations, and more. This Expo invited everyone to a technological symposium populated with over 300 inventions.

As the pandemic experienced a slowdown, the event host and organisers decided to bring back the familiar physical displays, and the Industrial Development Bureau put 45 innovative technologies on display, as well as many creative highlights online.

In the Innovation Pilot Pavilion, the Industrial Development Bureau hosted three exciting technology presentations and matchmaking conferences, with the first theme on the day of its grand opening being ‘Smart Innovation’.

Virtual exhibits and fora continued online after the physical exhibits, and the 8th Innovative Technology Strategic Partnership conference, led by the Department of Industrial Technology, featured the heads of scientific development from five countries: the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Experts in government, business, academia, and research institutes from Taiwan and abroad came together to discuss the post-pandemic development of technology, aiming to open up a new round of technological exchanges between Taiwan and Southeast Asian countries on the topic of emerging technologies in the post-pandemic era.

The Industrial Development Bureau, the Department of Industrial Technology, the Small and Medium Enterprise Administration, the National Development Council, and the Ministry of National Defense used their whole bag of tricks in presenting the innovative masterpieces of Taiwan’s industrial sector, displaying technological innovations across six areas.

The areas, namely Smart Manufacturing, Digital Transformation, Smart Living, Advanced Medicine, Defense & Aerospace, and Tech Treasures, demonstrate Taiwan’s incredible potential for research and development and its worldwide reach.

This 2021 Taiwan Innotech Expo featured 3D exhibits of cutting-edge technologies, technology fora, technology presentations, and other exciting activities every single day until its closing.
