TOURISM MALAYSIA JOINS VIRTUAL PATA WELLNESS AND LUXURY TRAVEL CONFERENCE AND MART 2021

PUTRAJAYA, Oct 21 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) through its agency Tourism Malaysia is participating in the virtual PATA Wellness and Luxury Travel Conference and Mart 2021 from 21st to 22nd October 2021.

It builds upon the format of PATA Travel Mart, one of the longest-running trade shows in the Asia Pacific. This targeted version offers a deeper look at specialised product offerings and forum topics to help the global community prepare for recovery after bearing the brunt of the impacts from Covid-19.

The travel industry is now shaped by new consumer priorities, hence boosting the wellness and luxury segment. The priority on health and wellbeing show that luxury travellers now demand unique experiences during their getaways and require tourism industry players to continuously pivot and innovate to grab the lucrative market share.

Tourism Malaysia aims to showcase Malaysia as the preferred destination for the wellness and luxury tourism market through this event by offering the discerning travellers Malaysia’s brands of premium and lifestyle experiences complemented by the rich multi-cultural society of diverse heritage and culture, unique cuisine, shopping, and world-class accommodation.

In line with the National Tourism Policy 2020-2030 and the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals, Tourism Malaysia is also working towards promoting the Malaysia Truly Asia campaign by highlighting the country’s wellness and luxury segments through not only ecotourism, but also experiential tourism, as well as niche and luxurious tourism products.
